Happy Easter!!!!

Alaura trying to find her Easter Basket.

Here she is in her pretty Easter Dress!!!

We went to Mimi and Papa's house for dinner. It was Eric's Mom's Birthday
(HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!!)
And we had a Beef tenderloin roast with these amazing creamy mushrooms on top. It's absolutely delicious!!!!

Then we all went outside so Alaura could look for Easter eggs...

She loved looking for Easter eggs!!!!

Look at all of those eggs!!!

When we emptied them all the candy filled a gallon zip lock bag.
(We sent it to work with Daddy)
We're going to do an Easter egg hunt at my parents house tonight...I'll post the pictures tomorrow

Baby's, Bubbles, and Bouncing...oh my!!!

Our friends Thayer and Justin had a baby boy on the 14th!! They were awesome to let us come and visit them in the Hospital. Alaura loved holding him (so did I...I'm soooo baby hungry!!!)She also loved playing with the latex gloves!!!!

What a cutie!!!

She loves bubbles, but I get tired of blowing them for her, so I got her a bubble "gun" It works really well.

Alaura and I met Randisue and her kiddos at "Pump it up"

Kimberly

Wyatt (what a big boy!!!)

All those bouncers and they wanted to play with the car!!!!

She wanted a "Micky mouse club house...here's our attempts at it...

She really liked hiding out in it

Eric and Alaura love playing when he gets home from work...It's pretty funny to see.

Here's Alaura dressed up as herself (Snow White) She still insists that she's Snow White...maybe I should pull out her birth certificate to show her that she's Alaura... :^)

Catching up

I haven't had time to post all of the pictures from Alaura's Birthday...We were very busy that day, so here it goes...

Mimi gave her a cookie the night before and when i walked into her room the first thing she said was "it's my birthday I want my cookie"

The weather was beautiful, so she wanted to straight outside. She found a bag of suckers left over from the party, here's Alaura trying to eat 5 suckers at the same time!!! (I threw them away shortly after, this allows me to get rid of birthday candy quickly)

Needless to say she loves her suckers!!!

It was such a nice day, Mom and I took Caiden and Alaura to the park

Alaura and I met Eric at Johns Incredible Pizza. We ate lots of food and played tons of games

Daddy tried to help her play the ski ball game...

But she wanted to do it by herself

She couldn't wait until after we finished to open presents, so we brought one with us

Here are the toys she got with her tickets

We invited everyone over to open her last few presents and eat cake and ice cream.

Here she is waiting for Eric to bring her cake out

Blowing out her candle (poor baby burned her lips a little because she got too close..oops)

Alaura's princess camera from lyndsey and courtney

She got all of the Little einsteins characters (they talk and sing when you push their tummies. Our house gets pretty loud sometimes)

(My baby's 2!!!)

"I want more gum!!!"

*We don't let Alaura put that much gum in her mouth...Eric found her sitting on the couch and called me in so I grabbed the camera. We took almost all of it from her right after recording this. But she does love her gum!!!!

Eric's new loves (beware animal lovers)

Here's the work bench that Eric built recently. This thing is probably the sturdiest thing in the entire house (That and the bed frame Eric and his Dad made) I'll get a better picture of the work bench soon

This is the skin of the coyote Eric got a couple months ago. It's in his cubicle at work so he can see it every day. Alaura was sad to see it go, she loved caring it around while saying "I love my coi-yoty" (yuck!!!!)

Happy Birthday MY PRINCESS!!!

Let me tell you a little bit about Alaura. Or "Princess Snow white" as we know her currently. She is very into coloring (On everything), playing dress up (she loves tutu's and princess stuff) cooking (she loves "cooking eggs" on her play kitchen, then feeding it us) and just running around being hilarious (especially outside now that the weather is nice). She knows what she wants and when she wants it, and she loves everyone.

She started signing basic signs at 7 months old ("more", "all done" and "nurse/milk" were her favorites) by 10 months old she was talking well enough to get her point across for the essentials and by a year old she gave up signing all together because it's easier to talk. At 18 months she could repeat most one and two syllable words, and now at age two she says things like " I want to walk to Mamma's house and play with caiden" or when asked what she wants to eat she's very specific "rice, beans and a quesidia" or "nacky cheese, peas and two chicken nuggets" She loves learning knew things and loves spending time with family. I don't what she's going to do when My family goes to Utah... Luckily we have Eric's parents here, and she loves spending time with them too.

She loves all animals, especially dogs (she's even taken to calling Daddy to her with a tap on her knee or a a kissy sound...LOL) She's always been quite a Mommy's girl, but I'm not near as fun as Daddy. Sometimes if I try to join in their playing she'll kindly tell me to go sit on the couch or go into the kitchen...She sleeps with about 10 stuffed animals every night, and she's named each one of them. (Katie bear, Princess bear, Care bear, Baby bear, Kit cat, and Ruff are her favorites)

I remember two years ago hearing her little cry for the first time and being so overcome by emotions. What will she be like, what will she look like I thought. I never dreamed that she would fill my life as much as she has. I knew from day one that she was going to be a firecracker, (she has a very strong spirit) but I also knew that she would have a great capacity for learning and knowledge and that she would be very creative and loving. She's proven to be all those things and more.

While looking through all of my pictures and trying to decide which ones to use, I've been able to remember so many fun things we've done with her. I'm so blessed to have her as my daughter. I'm also greatly blessed to have a husband who's made it a priority for me to home with her.
