Jobs and trucks

Eric got a Job offer from AT&T!!!! Yay! We've been waiting for it to happen since he started working there as a contractor a couple months ago. I'm soooo happy and very proud of him. He's such a hard worker. He also got a new truck. A 1991 Toyota Pickup. He's very excited about it. Almost as excited as Alaura. She talked about Daddies blue truck all day yesterday. She was sooo upset when she didn't get to ride home in it with Daddy. She cried the whole way home. "Daddy truck blue goooooo" Eric's outside taking a picture of it to post on the blog.

We've all been sick the last couple weeks. It seems to just go from person to person, Alaura's got a fever, so I guess it's her turn again. :( Eric and I are just about over the colds we had. We're ready to feel better again. She stayed in nursery for an hour today (by herself) She really hates being left anywhere without Mommy or Daddy, but she's doing better. We'll get there. She such a smarty, but she's extremely clingy. We're eating at my parents house tonight, so I'll try to get a couple pictures of Caiden. We went to a reception last night with Mom Olsen, Alaura was so sad when Mom got out of the car at the end of the night. On the way home she would ask for Mimi in the saddest little voice. She's definitely more aware of her surroundings, and she hates it when people leave her. Well, I'll update again when there's something more interesting to write about. I'll post my hcg levels on Tuesday , after I get poked again. Yay for me!!!!!

Alaura's morning routine

My Dr called me yesturday to talk to me about how happy he is that my levels are going down so well. The nurses have been making it sound like it wasn't happening fast enough, but he's very optomistic and said that for a molar pregnancy I'm seeing the best case senario. He also gave me the exact numbers of my Hcg levels: 1- 118,255 2-1,697 3-368 They really dropped over the last three weeks. Well, here are some more pics of alaura.

What a cool girl!!!
Getting ready in the morning. This is how we get ready every morning. She sits on the counter and does her make up with me etc.
Her first full ponytail!!!

Doing her makeup

Yes, she really is putting on deoderant. (she's the best smelling toddler around)

HCG Levels and Insurance

I went in to get my blood work done today. They couldn't get it in. I'm not kidding the nurse was fishing around in my arm for 2-3 min. Then she had to try the other arm. It's been like that every time except in the Hospital. Not fun. Anyway, the reason I wrote this was to say that My levels started at 12,000 went down to 1,600 and this week it's 368!!!! It's going down, yay!!!!! I have two more blood tests before I see my Dr again to discuss how long to wait before getting pregnant again.
On a less happy note I'm soooooo angry with Insurance companies right now. I applied for Health Ins. with Health Net which is the company I had my last two policies with, and they declined me. Based on the fact that I had a miscarriage and I'm being treated for it. I wasn't applying for maternity coverage or asking them to cover the stuff I'm dealing with now, just in case something else happens unrelated in the future. I called them and they told me that they don't have to cover me because I'm high risk now, but they'll be happy to reconsider me after I've been without treatment for three months. I was so angry. I'm still upset, but we'll try to figure something else out. Otherwise we're still doing well. We have a cold going through our family, but we're dealing...except Eric, he's a big baby. (I'm just kidding Honey)

The Fair, snakes and kissing goats

We had a lot of fun at the fair on Saturday. Alaura LOVED the goats and sheep, literally, she went around kissing all of them. It was pretty gross, but she was sooooo happy I couldn't stop her. What doesn't kill us only makes us stronger right? We got to the fair and I realized that the batteries in my camera were dead. I was so upset. For some reason the rechargeable batteries that I have don't hold a charge if I don't put them in my camera immediately after they charged. I'm really not happy with my camera anyway. If anyone has a suggestion on a good digital camera, I'd love to hear it. Preferably one that isn't too expensive. $500 or less. Back to the fair...Since we didn't have a camera we took a family picture in a booth with a really big snake. Alaura wasn't too crazy about it, but she let the tail touch her, so I was proud of her. We were the last people to get the pictures done that day because the snake was getting grumpy...we didn't know this until after they took the picture. But, no one got bit or squeezed. Alaura was so good. She loved all of the lights and people. We watched some funny animal races. They raced a duck, pig, lamb and goat against each other. Alaura thought it was great. She had a flag to wave, I really wish my camera was working. We saw my family there for a little while, which was cool. Camie and Juan were at the Temple with their stake, so they weren't there, but they were in a better place. Speaking of them, Juan's been working for Haliburton for a while and a few months ago he started working with the rigs. He helps set up the equipment. He's gone a lot, and Camie travels with him and plays in the hotel while he's working. Life is hard when you get to work out in the gym and sit by the pool all day. LOL. I don't know what she's going to do when the weather gets cool. She's got a great tan going on. By the way, Thank you so much for all of your help after the D&C Camie. I couldn't have made it through it with out all the help I got from family and friends. ( I couldn't lift Alaura for three days, and poor Eric had to work) One day while Camie was helping out, Alaura was playing with her playdough (she's learning her colors with them "boo" "popo" "deddo" "wed" and my personal favorite..."duddich" als known as orange) well she had mixed the blue and orange playdoughs together and anounced "bu-ditch" I heard Blue orange...Camie on the other hand starts dieing "did you hear what she said? She said Butt itch" leave it to camie to hear that!!! My mom came over the other day and was in the kitchen with Alaura trying to get her to say the color of a candy she was giving her, so this is the conversation I heard. "Alaura what color is it?" "Duditch" "no, What color is it?" "Duditch!" "Tell me the color and you can have it." I could tell Alaura was gettign a littl eexasperated with her by this point, so I finally chimed in, "mom she's saying orange, what color is it?" "Oh, it's orange" So, Alaura got her "duditch" gummy bear.
Moving on, Eric is working with AT&T now in the Engineering department. He's actually a contractor, but he took the engineering test and nailed it last week!!! He's going to begin a training course in Fresno in two weeks, and we're crossing our fingers that He'll get hired on with AT&T soon. He's really doing well, He's caught on the everything really well. I'm soo proud of him. He works with his Dad. That poor office wont know what hit them. They are both big pranksters and teases. He's also been so great through the misscarriage. He's been a huge support to me. Infact at one point he drove home from work just to get Alaura out of the Crib for me, but by the time he got there I'd had to find another way to get her out.
Last night we ate with Mimi and Papa Olsen it's always fun to see them. Alaura loves chasing their Dog Misty. After, we ran over to see Ma-ma and Papa Alvey and family. When Alaura walked in Caiden started squealing and hopping around because he was happy to see her. They are so cute together. (I wish Amberly and John were in town so Alaura could get to know her cousin Daphne better.) My parents got Alaura a pirate Halloween costume, we tried it on her last night and it was so cute. I'm going to make some minor alterations to it, but her and Caiden are going to be so cute. They were running around in their pirate costumes together. We're going to get their pictures done. I'll post them when we do. Well, I should get going, but here are a few more pictures of Alaura taken today.
Alaura added a couple of leis to her necklace collection. She saw them at the Halloween store and we couldn't leave without them.

She's getting really good at going up the stairs by herself, but for some reason today she wanted to use the railing. She likes to try to unlock the car door by herself, but if I don't watch her closely she'll try doing it to the car next to us...

One last funny Alaura story to end with. We were at Walmart earlier today and we were in the deoderant section and she picked one up, opened it and started rubbing it on her armpit. Oops.

Tests and Eggs

It's been 12 days since i got the D&C. I'm doing better. Physically I feel normal (what ever that is) again. Emotionally it's a little bit of a roller coaster. I feel good most of the time, every now and then I'll hear that someone else is pregnant or see a pregnant woman or a baby and then I feel sad. But otherwise I'm hanging in there. We found out that it was a full molar pregnancy, which means that there was never a baby there. It was a large blood clot in my uterus when they did the ultrasound, they thought that it was a baby because of the way it was shaped. It was harder to here that there never was a baby. It feels like three months wasted because i was soo sick. I also got my first hcg count since the D&C. It was 11,985 (or 111,985 two nurses gave me different two different #'s so I'm calling again on Monday), and now it's 1,600. They want my levels down to 0 or -2 So we've still got a little ways to go. It's going down which is good, just not quite as fast as they wanted i guess. They want me to keep doing weekly blood tests for a couple extra weeks now. So it'll be like 6 weeks or so. Then we'll find out how long we have to wait before we can start trying to get pregnant again. (3-6 months)For anyone who doesn't know, Hcg is an abbreviation for a really long word that i don't know It's the pregnancy hormone that they check to verify pregnancy and it's supposed to climb gradually during your pregnancy. With a molar pregnancy these hormones are really high which explains why I felt so sick along with a few other pregnancy symptoms that were worse this time. The Dr. wants my hormone levels down ASAP if it goes down too slow it could be a sign that something is wrong or they didn't get everything out when they did the D&C. If it climbs then It's a good sign that it's happening again. I guess it can implant itself into your uterus again, if they missed any and start growing all the "Moles" again. (little growths) Then I'd have to go in again and go through it all over again. Without Insurance. It'll be great when this is over and we have a healthy baby someday. I know it hasn't been very long, but it's felt like an eternity.

I know it probably didn't sound like it, but we are doing well. We're learning and becoming better people because of it. Now for some happier stuff. Today Alaura got into the fridge while I was on the phone with my mom. Oops!! I heard a crinkling sound that I thought was Alaura eating gum (she likes doing that) so I walked into the kitchen expecting to see her with a mouth full of gum, but what I found was half a dozen eggs broken on the floor and Alaura in the middle of it trying to scoop it up and put it back into the carton. She looked up at me and said "Eggs" It was pretty funny though. I grabbed the camera and recorded her trying to stand up in all the egg goo. She fell a few times, but she got up. I guess it's a bad thing that she can open the fridge. We're going to the fair today!!! Alaura's excited to go see the stinky animals. I'll post some pictures of it. Here are a few recent pics of alaura. I'm going to try to update this weekly for any family members who might be interested in Alaura. (Jami I'll include info about Caiden too.)

Alaura at the park . Don't you love the hat and dirty cheeks?

Why are taking my picture again?

Caiden and Alaura are so funny together. They get in the car and Caiden trys to do anything he can to make her laugh. Which isn't hard because she thinks he's the funniest person alive (aside from Daddy ofcourse)

Here Caiden is on the swing. Say cheese!
