Eric went on a hunting trip August 14th-19th in Utah. He had a really good time...and got his first deer!!! He got it on opening day!!! He spent the rest of the time pushing deer to the other 3 guys. Against all odds all 4 guys went home with a deer! Eric came home with some jerky and sausage...I have to admit that it's pretty darn good! Well, here are a few pics from his trip...there's a pic of his deer that he got, so if you don't like hunting (like me), don't look past the first three! ;)

That poor deer. I've never been a hunting fan and luckily my husband isn't into that. Congrats that he got one, but oh, so sad!!!
Looks like he had a good time. We still have deer in our freezer from 2006 when Bart decided not only was he going to hunt deer for the first time, but he was going to butcher it himself. I dot care for deer meat and it stinks, so I will not let him cook it in the house!
Sounds like Eric has a good time. good that he was able to get one, they do make good jerky.
That snake totally creeped me out!!! Where did they go hunting at?? Chad has yet to get his deer. He's holding off for the "perfect" deer. I'm thinking he won't settle for less than a 4 point. We'll see though. Congrats to Eric for getting his!!
Hey Heidi....next time Bart decides to get a deer. Take it to a butcher, and have them do half ground deer and half ground beef for your hamburger, and it actually is pretty good. Much cheaper than buying it at the store!! We have some if you'd like to try it.
