On Friday morning Jami and I were talking about what we wanted to do over the weekend...so i called Camie (my sister)who was staying at a hotel not to far from Santa Monica for Juans job. Saturday morning we packed up the car and headed out for the beach. It was Alaura's first time, so i wasn't sure what she'd think of it...
Here's her first time playing om the beach
This is the closest Alaura got to the water...when she realized that it moved...she stayed in the sand!

Here's one of the beach bums we saw walking around...Jami grabbed my camera and took a picture!
his bottoms said "Aussie Bum"!!!!! It was pretty funny!
Here is our pathetic attempt at a sand castle...they're really hard!!!!!

After looking around for a couple hours and eating some hot fudge sundaes we headed back to the hotel for some much needed rest!
That was our trip in a nutshell! Thanks Camie and Juan for letting us stay with you guys! It was great getting out of town and spending time together.

We ate clam chowder on the pier and after alaura finished her mac and cheese she thought it would be fun to get in the way of all the waiters!!!

Here's Alaura all bundled up in Leyna's stroller...she fell asleep shortly after and slept for a couple hours while we walked around the outdoor shopping.

It was a lot of fun! I'm happy you guys came down. I can't believe you posted a close up of that bum's bum! =) lol that is hillarious. The pic doesn't do him justice though. He was a funny guy, especially how he kept possing for us and looking at us. I swear he new we were taking pics of him. =)
alaura looks so beautiful in that last picture-- her blue eyes are awesome.
That sounds so fun. I can't wait to someday take my kids to the beach. I'm kinda shocked that was Alaura's first time.

I can't wait to take Daphne to the beach. Looks like fun. And that's funny about the dude in the skimpy swim suit. I can't believe he posed for you guys! Daphne loves the water and will dive right in if it's not too cold.
