Alaura's Birthday Party

I can't believe that her party is over!!! We started planning it two weeks ago and it went really well.

Here we are baking her cake, needless to say she enjoyed eating it more than making it, but it was fun to be in the kitchen baking with her. She kept talking about her rocket cake and her birthday party.

Here's the finished product.

I cheated and bought a costco cake , and decorated it. But I carved and decorated rocket and everything else. I did it yesterday during Alaura's nap. I used store bought frosting instead of making my own, so it didn't turn out quite as nice as it could have. But Alaura LOVED it and that's the important thing!!! I wish I had taken a picture of me kitchen after ward, it had cake crumbs and frosting everywhere!!!!

Shortly after taking this picture Papa told Alaura to stick her finger in it...She did!!! She took a big chunk out of it. Unluckily I never got a picture of it =(

"Daddy's Belle!!!"

Alaura has become very interested in Disney princesses lately (she likes them almost as much as the Little Einsteins) in fact if you ask her her name or who she is she'll loudly declare "I'm Princess Alaura", or more recently "I'm Snow White" or "I'm Belle"or I'm Cinderella" (Dededella) The other day She told me that she's Snow White and I'm Snow white too, when I asked her if Daddy was Prince Charming She loudly declared "No, Daddy's Belle" believe me, it's stuck. I can't dissuade her from calling Eric Belle (and I've actually tried). In fact She and Eric had a "Yelling" match that went something like this:
Alaura: "Daddy's Belle"
Eric: I'm Prince Charming
Alaura: You're Belle
E: I'm Prince Charming
A: YOU'RE BELLE!!!!
(for some reason when Eric says "W" Alaura takes great offense to it and Eric thinks it's hilarious)
E: "W" (pronounced as two words emphasis on the "U")
A: "I'M SNOW WHITE!!!!"
E:"W"
A:" I'M SNOW WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It's pretty hilarious to watch them go at it. Another cute thing that she's doing is when she talks to me she addresses me as "Honey" "Honey please don't do that, honey" or "Honey, I want some milk please honey" It's so funny!!!!

Alaura loves the Little Einsteins, on one of the episodes Annie gets a new purple airplane the only way to get it to fly is to sing a note from low to high while raising your hands from the ground up. We were watching it a while ago and here's the video of Alaura...

Big news

I just found out that my sister Jami got excepted to BYU Provo!!!! She's majoring in Marriage & Family Human development. CONGRATS JAMI!!!!

In other news, Camie's finally looking pregnant!!!!

this is 2 or 3 weeks old (she's a little bigger now) she's a little over 5 1/2 months along now.

Ooops I did it again...

Well, i think we may have figured out what triggered the allergic reaction...Infant Motrin!!!! (Possibley in combination with the antibiotics) I gave her some this afternoon because her ear was hurting and she had a low fever. Within 15 min her eyes were swelling and she had bumps over her entire body. Poor baby!!! (here's a pic right when it first started) We ran to the pharmacy (she was sitting in her carseat her eyes almost swollen shut eating crackers, happy as a clam) to get Benedryl like the Dr said, luckily it worked, (when we were walking around the store I know people were looking at me like i was crazy for bringing her there and not to the Dr. so I covered her head with a blanket) so we bought a balloon (she's earned it) and came home. Here are a few pics about 20 min after she took the medicine. The swelling is pretty much gone, but she's still a little bit red :( She's had a pretty tough week
